    Poble Nou Urban District

    Poble Nou Urban District is a nonprofit association that was created in mid 2012 by a group of companies from the creative industry, in order to propel the commercial and cultural program of the area. Therefore promoting Poble Nou as the new arts and creativity district of Barcelona.

    Promoting the area as the New Arts and Creativity District of Barcelona and to give exposure to the barrio through the association’s community of creative directors, entrepreneurs and businesspeople are at its main core. The production of annual events and to encourage collaborations among professionals of the district to strengthen the community.

    The Poblenou Urban District follows the steps of international projects such as the Wynwood Arts District (Miami), the Meatpacking District (New York City) or the Hackney District (London). Poblenou Urban District is a nonprofit association that constitutes of almost 100 creative spaces – all of them in the Poblenou neighbourhood – which encompass a varied range of creative industries: advertising agencies, production companies, showrooms, design and architecture studios, art galleries, higher education institutes, associations and museums can be found.

    The central hub and meeting place for POBLE NOU URBAN DISTRICT is the creative space called La Plataforma, Claudia — its owner and curator is also the creative director of this fascinating project. One of the greatest and truly most helpful inventions is the creation of a map that is extended every year.
